General Cao Gangchuan's official visit to Saudi Arabia

From January 20 to 22, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Central Committee Military Commission, State Councilor and Defense Minister, General Cao Gangchuan paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

                                    

                                    

                                    

During his stay in Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah and the Deputy Defense Minister, H.R.H Prince Khalid met with General Cao respectively. Crown Prince Sultan, also as the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National defense and Aviation and the Inspector General, held talks with General Cao. Crown Prince Sultan and Prince Khalid also hosted banquets for General Cao separately. During those meetings and conversations above, both sides spoke highly of mutual relations between the two countries and armies while expressed their common wishes to promote bilateral cooperation to a new height through concerted endeavors. The Saudi side emphasized that Saudi Arabia firmly adhered to the One China policy with the sincere hope that Taiwan could return to its motherland at an early date. General Cao also visited the Saudi College of Military Staff. Besides, General Cao came to the Chinese Embassy here in Riyadh by conveying greetings to and taking a group photo with embassy staffs.

                                  

The Chinese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Yang Honglin and the Military Attaché, Senior Colonel Pang Yandong attended the above activities.
