From February 21 to 24, H.E. the Chinese Ambassador Yang Honglin visited staffs of Chinese enterprises based in Western Saudi Arabia and attended the 2008 Annual Meeting of Jeddah Economic Forum.

    Mr. Yang conducted on-site visits to major projects of Sinopec, Sinoma located in Abha, Rabig and Yanbu. He met with the Saudi project owners and attended symposiums with representatives from Chinese enterprises. He expressed his warm New Year greetings to staffs of Chinese institutions while recalled the vibrant development of Sino-Saudi relations in 2007. He extended his heartfelt thanks to those staffs for their outstanding achievements in projects construction. He stressed on the vital importance of safety management while put specific requirements for relevant enterprises. He also highlighted the unprecedented opportunities for further development of Sino-Saudi relations while encouraged Chinese enterprises based in Western Saudi Arabia to make greater contributions.
