| According to the Circular of the General Office of the State Council concerning statutory holidays in 2010 while taking into account of local holidays in Saudi Arabia, the Chinese embassy has made following arrangements for our holidays in 2010: New Year’s Day: Dec 31st to Jan 2nd, three days off. Dec 31st (Thursday) and Jan 1st (Friday) are public holidays. As Jan 1st public holiday also falls on a statutory holiday, its free day will be switched to Jan 2nd (Saturday). Spring Festival: Feb 11th to 15th, five days off. Feb 11th (Thursday) and Feb 12th (Friday) are public holidays. Feb 13th (Saturday), Feb 14th (Sunday) and Feb 15th (Monday) are statutory holidays. Tomb-sweeping Day: April 5th, one day off Labor Day: April 29th t to May 1st, three days off. April 29th (Thursday) and April 30th (Friday) are public holidays. May 1st (Saturday) is statutory holiday. Dragon Boat Festival: Jun 16th to 18th, three days off. Jun 16th (Wednesday) is statutory holiday. Jun 17th (Thursday) and Jun 18th (Friday) are public holidays. China National Day: Sep 30th to Oct 4th, five days off. Sep 30th (Thursday) and Oct 1st (Friday) are public holidays. Oct 2nd (Saturday) and Oct 3rd (Sunday) are statutory holidays. As Oct 1st public holiday also falls on a statutory holiday, its free day will be switched to Oct 4th (Monday). Local holidays: Saudi National Day (Sep 23rd of Gregorian Calendar) and Aid al-Adha (November of Islam Calendar) will take one day off for each and the detailed date depends. |
